The cold spring in Spring Hill Hotel is developed since Japanese Colonial Period; it was called Gangshantao Hot Spring. It is a precious natural spring from the rocks. The spring is identified as neutral carbonated spring with colorless, tasteless and low temperature pH-7 water. It runs water around all year and contains rich mineral. The 2 major conditions of forming a cold spring is abundant underground water and rocks that produce large amount of carbon dioxide. As the mountain area in Tianliao District has special geographical feature, abundant rainfall and the limestones in Dagangshan, fulfilling the criteria. In addition, the trace mineral dissolved from the rocks form a unique natural carbonated cold spring in the southern Taiwan. The so-called “beauty spring” has great benefits on skin care and sore muscle.

In the last century, the Japanese introduced hot spring bathing culture into Taiwan along with colonialism. Since then, every hot spring source in Taiwan represents happiness and satisfaction.

Dagangshan Hot Spring used to be called “Gangshantao Hot Spring”
In 1938, Japanese naval air force facility was constructed in Dagangshan, and wooden house as base.
Later on, police station and police nursing home were established, opening the first page of “Gangshantao Hot Spring” in the history. Two Chiang presidents also visited here. However, this place was gradually forgotten by the public.
Later on, UJB Construction Co., Ltd that has over 20 years experience in construction profession, humanity & lifestyle, spent great investment renovating the area with natural mountain, water, flowers and wood elements. 3 years later, the opening of Spring Hill Hotel presents new life and vitality to Dagangshan natural spring that was dormant for decades. -

The magnolia outside the restaurant delivers elegant fragrance; it gently takes care of the land, like the Queen of Spring Hill. In old time, during blossom season, it was like being covered by hundreds of white jade wine glasses, therefore was called White Magnolia.

The creamy yellow tiny Michelia figo bud with green leaves spread the familiar fragrance, making people fall into old memories. Tourists suddenly feel like coming home when meeting this old friend.
◎Symbiosis of Longan Tree and Ficus Tree
Ying and yang symbiosis generates the balance of endless live. Walking through the ZEN sun moon pool, you will meet the symbiosis of Longan tree and Ficus tree, their trunks and branches closely intertwined, stating the most natural annotation for body and soul harmonizing.

Legend said that no plant could grow taller than this autumn maple tree. The gardener couldn’t wait to see the heroic bearing of the tree kin. The old tree king lives quietly behind the restaurant and its branches embraces the building of the hotel. It was planted in the Japanese Colonial Period a hundred years ago and still guards the hotel until now. The thick trunk tells the story over the century and the branches declares its king demeanor. -
